Handmade in small batches on our farm, using our materials, this felted soap is natural with no artificial dyes or ingredients. We started making soap in an effort to use the tallow (animal fat from sheep) that is a by-product of processing, as part of our effort to use the whole animal. After about 8 weeks when the soap is cured, we felt on a layer of our own wool to create a felted soap.

Why felted soap?

  • Lasts 2-3 times as long by both providing structure (so you avoid the mushy bar) and helping the soap dry out faster in between uses.
  • A 2-in-1 solution as your soap is now combined with your washcloth. Wool is a mild, natural exfoliant that is naturally antibacterial.

How does it work?

Lather the bar of soap like you would any other. The lather will come through the wool and you can proceed as you normally would. As you use the bar, the wool will “shrink” alongside the soap because little bits of wool are being sloughed off every time you use it. Wool is biodegradable and the soap is natural, so you can safely dispose of the remaining soap bit.

We do our best to represent colours accurately, however not all screens are calibrated the same and colour may appear differently in person.

These are handmade products, so there will be slight variations between each item. The one you receive will not be identical to the one pictured.

Small scale on-farm processing like ours means that there will be a small amount of vegetable matter (hay or straw bits) in the felted wool. While Procion dyes are colorfast, some dye colours have a rinse-off period. The weight of wool varies based on the humidity in the air, so all weights are approximations.
