Our Felted Soap is a natural, handcrafted product made in small batches right here on our farm. We begin by creating a gentle, long-lasting soap using tallow – a by-product of our sheep processing – alongside locally sourced lard. After a six-week curing process, each bar is wrapped in a layer of our own wool through the wet felting process, creating a felted soap that is both functional and eco-friendly.
Why Choose Felted Soap?
Longer Lasting: The felted wool helps the soap dry faster between uses, preventing the bar from becoming mushy and extending its lifespan by two to three times.
Two-in-One Solution: Soap and washcloth combined. The wool acts as a gentle, natural exfoliant while you lather.
Naturally Antibacterial: Wool’s natural properties help keep the soap clean and fresh.
How It Works
Lather the felted soap just like a regular bar. The lather comes through the wool, providing a gentle exfoliation. As you use it, the wool gradually shrinks along with the soap, maintaining a snug fit until the soap is gone. Both the soap and the wool are biodegradable, so any remaining bits can be safely disposed of.
Soap: Tallow from our farm, lard sourced locally, coconut oil, canola oil, castor oil, water, lye

This blend is intended to smell "clean" and predominantly smells like wintergreen.

Wool Processing: Washed, dyed and carded in our wool mill here in Thunder Bay. Your bar will be from our current colour line.

DISCLAIMER
We do our best to represent colours accurately, however not all screens are calibrated the same and colour may appear differently in person.
These are handmade products, so there will be slight variations between each item. The one you receive will not be identical to the one pictured.
Small scale on-farm processing like ours means that there will be a small amount of vegetable matter (hay or straw bits) in the felted wool. While Procion dyes are colorfast, some dye colours have a rinse-off period. The weight of wool varies based on the humidity in the air, so all weights are approximations.
